References about SIDS babies dying in hospitals

I was asked for references about SIDS babies dying in hospitals. I do not know of any published studies. However, I have spoken to a number of physicians over the years who have been involved with babies who died from SIDS in their hospitals. Each was a single baby, and thus no one wrote it up (at least that I am aware of). However, there is no doubt in my mind that such swift deaths occur. We have had a number of babies die on home monitors when we are confident that parents were skilled at resuscitation. I hope this helps answer your question.
