Brian and Tanner

by Jennifer Gleinser

Date: Sun, 7 May 2000

My story is quite different from the others as I have not lost a child. I recently met a wonderful man, and fell in love with him. I knew when I met him that he had recently loss a son due to SIDS. I knew the risk involved in attempting to build a relationship when his life is in the middle of a tornado right now. I thought it would work, because I wanted it to so badly. I am finally over the loss of my fiance..over so to speak..as it never truly goes away. I was ready for Brian. Brian however, although he wants to be very badly, is nowhere near ready. He is dealing with much more than the loss of his child, and is fighting as hard as he can to keep his dignity and stand up for his principles. However, he is weakening rapidly..and is beginning to give up. He wants to be with Tanner.

I wish I knew how to help him...I wish he knew how much I love him. I wish he knew how much he still loves his living son..who needs him so...but he's numb to it. Please pray for Brian, and his living son.
God is taking care of Tanner.

Jennifer
