Baby Angel

I lost my cousin Angela a year ago to SIDS. It's still so hard and I miss her everyday. I know she is safe in God's arms and looking down and us. Life is moving on but I will always think of her. This is a Poem I wrote one night while thinking of her. I would Love to hear from ANYONE who has been though this awful experience. If anyone would like to talk. Baby Angel

Smooth infant skin
soft as a baby dove
the pain my sweet, it's you I love

Holding you for the last
I cradle you all night
my little baby angel
with the halo so bright

Tiny lifeless body
tears fall upon your head
your image remains
of you in your bed.

Soft golden hair
I touch and kiss
once more my sweet
It's you I miss.
