A Letter to Tamar

by Wanda Stutzman

30 Jun 1998

My Little One,

It has been three months now but the pain and sadness we feel is just as deep as ever...you are so missed! How we long to hold you in our arms again... but this cannot be...so we hold you always in our hearts.

We know that you are happy where you are and that does offer us some comfort. We will be together again one day, I promise. Until then, we will mourn and miss you, our first grandchild.

I give you this poem, Tamar

TAMAR
In these clouds now shall be...
Anew Spirit...young and free!
We had you for just a short while...
But you taught us how to smile!

You gave us joy...you gave us love.
A wondrous gift from God above!
We miss you; child of beauty and grace
And long once more to dee your face!

With sadness and tears, we said farewell.
Our grief exceeds far more than I can tell!
The memories we have help us to cope...
And our faith in God gives us sweet hope!

We love you, baby Tamar!
