Hiding Place

I'm stunned and confused and I'm digging a hole,

To hide in, to cry in, to find my lost souls.

I want the world to mourn and to scream out with me,

But, life does go on despite my pain and misery.

The people all move at a quick speedy pace,

They would stop in their tracks if they saw the look on my face.

Too busy to notice the simplest things,

Ignoring the pleasures that life sometimes brings.

Learn to appreciate a walk in the park,

The sun and the moon and the stars after dark.

When life goes too fast and I just need some space,

I can be found in my hiding place.
