sides of family. Child quit breathing and son (mentally disabled) tried to revive. infant
was second child. died. DA said son intentionally killed his own child. not true. jury
felt because son was mentally disabled he must be violent. opposite. he is passive and
socially about 16 yrs old. He has been horribly abuses by TDCJ and inmates and doctors
because of his conviction, illnesses, mild manner, and young mind. Please, help me find a

Comments: My husband and I have a five month old little boy. His name is Gregory.
We live in Jackson, Ohio. Two nights ago I put him down to sleep on his back. While he was
taking his nap I went to the kitchen to do some dishes real quick. He was right around the
corner in the living room. Not five minutes later I went in to check on him. His lips were
blue and he was limp! I picked him up and sat him upright on my lap and rubbed his back
and face. He finally took the deepest gasp of air into his little lungs and started to
cry. I tought for sure that we had lost him to SIDS. We took him to the emergency room and
he was admitted. They ran some tests and put him on a monitor. He was diagnosed with a
form of sleep apnea. We thank God that we found him in time. It could have been to late. |

Josh at birth was in distress and had swallowed is maconium. He was on a respirator for
two days and he apares fine now. I'm wondering if their is more of a chance for SIDS with

ought to find a way to link all the organizations dealing with SIDS so we can use them as
resources for grieving new parents. My wife is on the advisory board of the Minnesota SIDS
Council. I just follow along and help out. Our son Gaelen died in '86. Kay and I published

Comments: I lost my first child when I was 22 weeks pregnant, in 1993. I have found
support on the web, and was looking into the SIDS sites for just a little more support -
it seems I have seen and read all the miscarrage and stillbirth sites. I have been touched
by these stories, and have felt that you all understand my suffering, having lost babies
yourselves. However, at one site I read someone who lost a child to SIDS saying that my
child was not a child who died because he was not born first. She equated my loss to the
loss of a pet. I would just like to say that I do understand the pain you all suffer. Mine
is different, but not less. While you have lost babies you had a chance to see and hold
while they were alive, I never had that chance. You grieve memories and your child. I
grieve hope and my child. God Bless you all, until we can hold our little ones forever. |

so hard at first, but after the 1st year you will see that life is better. You will never

Comments: My husband and I just lost our baby girl, Mariah, to SIDS on March 3,
1997, at Loma Linda Childrens Hospital, she was only 3 1/2 months. Through thise site I
found the clipping from the Washington Post-"Most health-care professionals believe
that today's parents can reduce the risk of SIDS in their own babies." During all my
prenatal visits and at the hospital, when I had her, noone ever gave any info. on SIDS.
And my question is WHY? SIDS is just as real as AIDS, Cancer,ect...., there needs to be
more done about it and I am willing to help in anyway. I want to thank Jesus for taking
good care of our baby girl. Mommy and daddy will see you "One Sweet Day" baby
girl, we LOVE and MISS you dearly! |

beginning I was obsessed with my lost pregnancy and the possibility of becoming pregnant
again. I guess I still do feel that way. It was nice to find that other people had felt or
are feeling the same way I am. Funny enough, I am a health care provider who deals with
these issues often. I have been having a difficult time listening to my rational mind. I
have a wonderful life and in the midst of this ordeal began to lose sight of this fact. I

Brian at 4 lbs 10 oz and Brandon at 5 lbs. 10 oz. They had some feedig problems at first,
but with round the clock feedings they learned to eat well. They were beautiful healty
babies thriving with growth and development. They went for their 2 month checkup on 3/5/97
and made out great. They started their 1st set of immunizations. Brian 8lbs 11oz, Brandon
9lbs 5oz. All they did was smile and sleep. They were the Best. On Friday morning 5:00 am
I awoke to Brian gray in color and not breathing...It was the worst day of our lives...
Brian died in his sleep. Brandon was fine, Thank God. I'll never understand how a
perfectly healthy baby can die in his sleep and no one can give answers.. If it takes me
