until now. Someone I know lost their 6mo. old a couple of days ago. I can't possibly
imagine the hopelessness and dispair they must be feeling to lose their beautiful little

her name is Amanda Locke. Anyway, our son died in feb. 1998. It was Valetines Day. His

Comments: My son Gaelan R. Kronk was born Sept.3 1997 he
died of SIDS March 5 1998 at 0930 in the morning. My son stayed at my inlaws house that
night because I work third shift and my wife had to work early that morning. I was on my
way home that morning when I called to tell them I was on my way to pick him up. The
neighbor lady answered the phone and told me that Gaelan had to be taken to the hospital.
on arrival at the hospital they took me straight back to the counsulting room where I
found my mother and father in law crying. They told me that Gaelan had died and that the
doctors and police needed some information. After the information was given they told me I
could go back and see him if I wanted to. I wanted to see him before my wife arrived, when
I walked into the room I couldn't believe my eyes. I kept telling myself that this wasn't
happening. When they let me hold him I kept telling myself he's just asleep he'll wake up.
My wife arrived and she broke down, I was so numb I didn't know what to say to her. I just
kept telling myself that this wasn't happening. After the funeral the incident really put
a strain on our relationship. Some times we take things for granted and we don't realize
it till it's gone. I would give anything to have my son back... |

Comments: I became a SIDS parent on January 7, 1998 when my
son, Anthony Morgan, 3 months 15 days, died at his cargiver's home. It was only my third
day back at work, when I received a phone call in the middle of the day from the caregiver
saying that the paramedics were there and that Anthony was not breathing. The last thing I
ever thought was that he died, let alone died of SIDS. SIDS never was a concern to me,
ever. Altough my husband and I have received tremendous support from family and friends,
it is very hard to understand and accept what has happened. It all just seems like a bad
dream and I'm ready to wake up now. I'd like to hear from those who have moved on to have

Dante was born. He was born August 27, 1997. I was so happy. When he was born and I heard
him crying I said "That's my baby crying in there". I loved him and helped my
mommy take care of him. He used to watch my favorite movie Space Jam with me. I always
touched him very gently like my grandma tought me to. And when he cried I would tell him
"don't cry Dante, there's no reason to cry". He left us and went to Heaven on
August 27, 1997. I miss him so much. My mom told me that one day we will all be together

able to hold and love our son. We were blessed with the gift of Kohl after 5 long years of

Comments: HELLO MY SON AUSTIN DIED ON FEBUARY 21, 1998. WE
HAD JUST GOT BACK FOM THE SHRINER HOSPITOL IN CHIGAGO. AUSTIN WAS BORN WITH OUT A THUMB ON
HIS LEFT HAND. BUT THE DOCTORS SAID THAT HE WAS A PERFICTLY HEALTH LITTEL BOY BESIDES
THAT. WE GOT HOME AT 12:15 AND PUT AUSTIN TO BED AT 1:00 A.M. HE WAS ACCTING A LTTEL
CRANKER THAN NORMAL. HE WOULD START CRYING FOR NO REASON AND WOULD ONLY TAKE 2 OUNCES TO
EAT BEFORE HE WOULD START CRYING. WE PLAYED WITH HIM BEFOR PUTTING HIM TO BED MAKING THIS
3 AND A HALF MONTH OLD SMILE WAS SO WONDERFUL. SAID GOOD NIGHT SEE YOU IN THE MORNING I
WENT TO GO AND WAKE HIM UP ANDHIS BODY DID NOT MOVE I FLIPPED HIM OVER AD HALF OF HIS FACE
WAS PURPLE AND HALF WAS NORMAL I WENT TO WAKE HIM UP AT 1:15 P.M. THE REASON FOR SO LATE
WAS WE WERE ON THE ROAD FOR 22 STRIGHT HOURS. I CALLED 911 THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE HIS
TEMPERATURE IT READ 100 C. ONCE THE CORNER GOT HERE HE PREDICTED THE TIME OF DEATH TO BE
BETWEEN 3 AND 4 A.M. HOW COLD THE BODY TEMP BE AT 100 8 HOURS AFTER HE HAD SUPPOSEDLY
DIED? THE OFFICAL DEATH CERTIFCATE IS NOT OUT YET THE SAID IT WOULD TAKE THREE WEEKS. ME
AND MY WFE WERE ASKED ALL OF THESE TERRIBLE QUESTIONS LIKE WE KLLED OUR PRESIOUS LITTEL
BOY I MISS HIMSO MUCH AND WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO TAKE HIS PLACE SO HE AND MY WIFE COULD BE
TOGETHER SHE IS TACKING THIS SO BAD. I JUST NEED HELP ON WHAT TO DO HOW DO I COMFORT HER.
SHE IS AT HOME ALL ALONE DURING THE WEEK WHILE I AM AT WORK WHAT IF SHE HAS A BREAK DOWN
