Comments: My husband and I lost our second son Tyler to SIDS almost 7 years ago.
Although it has became easier to talk about thier is not one single day that goes by that
I don't think about that precious angel and think about the last time that i held him
before I found him breathless in his crib. My husdand and I haven't had any more shildren
and we probably will not. That is a very scaring think that is hard for us to move past.
Will it happen again? Our oldest son has severe asthama and Tyler seemed to be the healthy

I read each month and I get some relief by reading other stories, but I still have a hard
time getting over being so-o-o angry!!! Nic was our one and only. In 30 days me and his
dad are getting married and I want it to be a happy time, but I keep dreaming of my
fiance' holding our son as I walk down the isle. I have been holding on, but honeslty the
closer the wedding gets the more I feel like I'm going to loose it. I feel like I'm being
punished! I feel like GOD is mad with me for something. I've tried to live my life like
there may not be a tomorrow, and treat people like you want to be treated. I loved my
little boy. I want him back so very bad. I think the worse part is not holding him
anymore.The emptyness I feel in my arms. Like my arms ach. I had him at his first day of

"at risk" group everyone told me about and i did everything the doctors ever
told me to do(sleep on back,dont smoke,ect...). i felt like it was my fault that i did
something wrong. but through reading information and the support groups i have relized i
did nothing wrong. i was a very good mother and loved her more than anything. i now have a
wonderful baby boy who is 3 months old. yes i do worry about this with him but i dont let
it control my life. for the first month i did but i just had to make myself remember the
information i was given and just pray that i didnt lose my son. im pretty confident now
that it wont happen again. i visit her grave when ever possible and i do miss her
terribly. i know one day i will hold her again and that is what keeps me going. |

Comments: I visit this site regularly. I empathasize with all of you who have lost
a precious baby to sids or any other form of loss. I suffered my 8th miscarriage in the
end of February, 1998. I pretty much gave up. Told my husband that I was done. I needed to
get to a point where I had had enough. Don't ask me how, but I am 16 weeks pregnant right
now. I usually lose the babies at 6 to 8 weeks and I am way past that. Miracles do happen.
It will still be a long pregnancy for me and I am still very afraid to get my hopes up. It
is so very hard when I have been let down so many times. Anyway, thank you for listening.

nephew, Ethan, died from SIDS. He died 3 days after my birthday, I was in shock when I
picked up the phone to find my sister,Candis, Crying and yelling, When I handed the phone
to my mom I fell to the floor and began going hysterical, I couldnt believe what happened,
I had seen Ethan the day before he passed away, I didnt understand why it happened. He

Comments: I have been doing a lot of peer support to SIDS families recently. I am 3
years into my grief and still flashback to my experience each time I speak with a new mom
or dad. Visiting the SIDS Network keeps me informed and well educated and answers the
questions many parents have regarding their experiences. My son Robby died March 20, 1995
at 5 months and 3 days. The pain has eased but it will never go away completely. Its hard
to believe that SIDS continues to effect people everyday, everywhere...when will it be

people who had lost a child, My heart goes out to each and every one of you. My son, Jakob

Comments: It's amazing how time flies, but I remember as if
it was yesterday. I'm a survivor and still surviving (now 25 yrs. old). The Father of Our
Son (Jan. 13, - April 22, 1995), still contacts me from time-to-time... We have moved on,
gone our separate ways. It is odd, I can't see myself having another child with anyone
else; but in turn, I know that I can't see myself having another child with him (but you
never know(?)). Time is the healer, God is the narrator. What HE has in store ... I
haven't the slightest, but for now, I know that he has A Little Angel, my Son, growing up
with him. Some of life's trials and tribulations comes from reactions to actions; but
also, a lot is what happens in our surroundings, we have no control over. Whatever
negative happens, it will either, make you (stronger) or break you. (I refuse to fall
without a fight.) Sorry, I got carried away, thanks for taking the time out to read this.

from SIDS when she was 4 months my life has change big time I was only 16yrs old when I
had her and I was 17yrs old when she past on. I am now 18yrs old now and thing seem to be
getting better for me day by day I dont have anymore kids right now but some day I will
